A bed is an item of furniture that is used as a place to sleep, rest, and relax.

Most modern beds consist of a soft, cushioned mattress on a bed frame. The mattress rests either on a solid base, often wood slats, or a sprung base. Many beds include a box spring inner-sprung base, which is a large mattress-sized box containing wood and springs that provide additional support and suspension for the mattress. Beds are available in many sizes, ranging from infant-sized bassinets and cribs, to small beds for a single person or adult, to large queen and king-size beds designed for two people. While most beds are single mattresses on a fixed frame, there are other varieties, such as the murphy bed, which folds into a wall, the sofa bed, which folds out of a sofa, the trundle bed, which is stored under a low, twin-sized bed and can be rolled out to create a larger sleeping area, and the bunk bed, which provides two mattresses on two tiers as well as a ladder to access the upper tier. Temporary beds include the inflatable air mattress and the folding camp cot. Some beds contain neither a padded mattress nor a bed frame, such as the hammock. Other beds are made specifically for animals.

Beds may have a headboard for resting against, and may have side rails and footboards. "Headboard only" beds may incorporate a "dust ruffle", "bed skirt", or "valance sheet" to hide the bed frame. To support the head, a pillow made of a soft, padded material is usually placed on the top of the mattress. Some form of covering blanket is often used to insulate the sleeper, often bed sheets, a quilt, or a duvet, collectively referred to as bedding. Bedding is the removable non-furniture portion of a bed, which enables these components to be washed or aired out.

Disk or disc may refer to:

  • Disk (mathematics), a two dimensional shape, the interior of a circle
  • Disk storage
  • Optical disc

It was a fast delivery and the cots are great!! Yes, they are heavy but they are nice and sturdy! We have used them so far in the living room and they are comfortable! They are easy to put up and take down.

I have not camped with them yet but have slept on them multiple times. I have a bad back but have added a foam mattress. They are very comfortable and sturdy. Very well made and quality product. I have no experience with the regular Disc-o-bed but these with the braces are rock solid.

I got 3 of these for my 14×16 canvas cabin tent, best camping gear purchase I’ve made. These maximize room and allow for spacious comfort while sleeping. Extra width and length make you forget you’re on a cot, A+ reviews from the entire family! Easy to assemble and disassemble, very intuitive. I’m a big guy and these are perfect. Kids love them too. Camp sleep has improved 1000%! Carrying case for each cot is great. Downside…50 lbs per bunk in carrying case, but case is sturdy, has carry handles, packs away flat.

Works great and much cheaper if you are setting up 5 or 6 beds in a camp. For great comfort I recommend a 3 or 4 inch thick foam on top the cot.

We bought these to camp with our two boys. The quality is amazing and our kids put them to the test! However, they are so heavy that I have bruises from the carrying straps 😉

These are the best! I mean AAA+++ class, durability, comfort, size. We are all tall like 6’5” etc and muscular. We love disco bed but pillows fall off, and to short. Cabelas is the best! I mean you can trust its name. Quality. We went camping to lake lopez with our killer Alaknak 12×20 Cabelas outfitters tent. These bunk beds were easy to set up, and no hole buy feet and pillow! And really wide! I mean luxury and Comfort and can handle all the kids sleeping with dad on one bunk when bears attack your camp.
The weight limit is allot more then disco beds. This bunkbed is longer and wider too. So add a Cabelas -25 canvas XL sleeping bag and XL cabelas pad and your in heaven! I mean so comfy!!
Make sure you have a tent liner on your tent floor! When all your kids climb in your bunk bed with you, the weight will not punch a hole in the bottom!! Ha i bought 2 more sets of these. They are out of stock.. i Bought them all for kids and Scouts. Not that often in life does a quality item like this show up. It will last for multiple generations. Well made! Thank you again cabelas!!! You can can use pipes on bunks to beat the bears out of your camp! I man it!!
