A laptop computer or notebook computer, also known as a laptop or notebook, is a small, portable personal computer (PC). Laptops typically have a clamshell form factor with a flat-panel screen on the inside of the upper lid and an alphanumeric keyboard and pointing device on the inside of the lower lid. Most of the computer's internal hardware is fitted inside the lower lid enclosure under the keyboard, although many modern laptops have a built-in webcam at the top of the screen, and some even feature a touchscreen display.     Upgraded from a Razer Blade 15. Loving the Cherry MX keyboard EXCEPT the “function” keys on the right. I always hit the MIC button instead of backspace, whoever thought that this was a good idea?

    This is by far the best laptop I’ve owned. I opted for the maxed-out model and upgraded to the CherryMX keyboard. The SSDs are wicked fast thanks to their use of PCIe4.0. The GTX 3080 is definitely the way to go; that comes with a longer production time due to the supply restraints, but well worth the wait. I had great results on all of the benchmark tests I ran. It plays resource-heavy games with no problem. A couple of cons: the keyboard layout is a bit odd with the media controls on the right, but you get used to it. The lack of a number pad is a bit mind-boggling. There is plenty of unused space on the deck. The 330w power brick is the weight of another laptop, plan accordingly…I wish Dell would have given us a newer design like the x15 with the Alienware branding…but I know the 330w is hard to compact into that small space. Lastly, the fans are loud. If you’re planning on playing in your bedroom with your spouse sleeping, you might want to warn them =). Overall, I am VERY please with this purchase and this amazing laptop.

    I’ve had this laptop for a couple of weeks now and have been impressed. I needed something that was well built with premium video cards etc, in which this machine has met all my expectations. I like having the ability to game (if time permits) when something catches my eye and this laptop allows me to do so.

    All in all the x15 r1 is a really solid gaming device, played GTA V for like 2-3 hours and the temperatures at most hit only 80 degrees celsius . Performance is pretty smooth as well. Quite bummed that the speakers are on the underside of the laptop though, I wish it was mentioned more apparently in the website. I’m not sure if my battery is faulty as well(supposedly able to reach 8 hours of battery life if every battery saver mode option is used) but I have been getting 3 hours of battery life with the least power consuming options chosen.
