Prairies are ecosystems considered part of the temperate grasslands, savannas, and shrublands biome by ecologists, based on similar temperate climates, moderate rainfall, and a composition of grasses, herbs, and shrubs, rather than trees, as the dominant vegetation type. Temperate grassland regions include the Pampas of Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay, and the steppe of Ukraine, Russia, and Kazakhstan. Lands typically referred to as "prairie" tend to be in North America. The term encompasses the lower and mid-latitude of the area referred to as the Interior Plains of Canada, the United States, and Mexico. It includes all of the Great Plains as well as the wetter, hillier land to the east. From west to east, generally the drier expanse of shortgrass prairie gives way to mixed grass prairie and ultimately the richer soils of the tallgrass prairie.
In the U.S., the area is constituted by most or all of the states, from north to south, of North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma, and sizable parts of the states of Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas in the west, and to the east, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. The Palouse of Washington and the Central Valley of California are also prairies. The Canadian Prairies occupy vast areas of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. Prairies may contain various lush flora and fauna, often contain rich soil maintained by biodiversity, with a temperate climate and a varied view.

Wood is a structural tissue found in the stems and roots of trees and other woody plants. It is an organic material – a natural composite of cellulose fibers that are strong in tension and embedded in a matrix of lignin that resists compression. Wood is sometimes defined as only the secondary xylem in the stems of trees, or more broadly to include the same type of tissue elsewhere, such as in the roots of trees or shrubs. In a living tree it performs a support function, enabling woody plants to grow large or to stand up by themselves. It also conveys water and nutrients between the leaves, other growing tissues, and the roots. Wood may also refer to other plant materials with comparable properties, and to material engineered from wood, woodchips, or fiber.
Wood has been used for thousands of years for fuel, as a construction material, for making tools and weapons, furniture and paper. More recently it emerged as a feedstock for the production of purified cellulose and its derivatives, such as cellophane and cellulose acetate.
As of 2020, the growing stock of forests worldwide was about 557 billion cubic meters. As an abundant, carbon-neutral renewable resource, woody materials have been of intense interest as a source of renewable energy. In 2008, approximately 3.97 billion cubic meters of wood were harvested. Dominant uses were for furniture and building construction.
Wood is scientifically studied and researched through the discipline of wood science, which was initiated since the beginning of the 20th century.

I ordered the grill online and I received 2 boxes of accessories without the grill. I called customer service and they reordered the grill. I wasn’t supposed to get the grill until July 6th but it actually came on June 29! My son who is on leave from the military was able to put it together and we grilled with it within hours… totally love it! I read some other reviews with same issue but different outcomes, seems like a glitch in QVC system that sends accessories and not the grill when ordered.

My wife bought me the Traeger at QVC. I have been smoking meats for many years using many different types of smokers. The Traeger is the easiest to use, and with consistent results every time. We have since purchased them for three family members. They all love them. One outstanding benefit is Traeger’s customer service. They are open on weekends and have had the answers the two times I called. Easy, perfect BBQ every time.

My wife bought me this grill for my birthday in April as the TSV. Grill arrived in a few weeks packaged really well, couldn’t get over how “engineered” the box and all the cardboard to keep everything secured…took about an hour to assemble. Followed directions on firing the grill, seasoning, etc…now 2 months in, using it about every weekend, it’s GREAT!! So glad I have one. I’m careful to clean it after each use, vacuum out the ashes, etc. I keep mine in my garage out of the elements, hoping it’ll last a long time. So happy we made the purchase through QVC with 5 mo to pay, really helps. Now I’m trying different rubs, recipes, it’s a lot of tasty fun.
