Athlon is the brand name applied to a series of x86-compatible microprocessors designed and manufactured by AMD. The original Athlon (now called Athlon Classic) was the first seventh-generation x86 processor and the first desktop processor to reach speeds of one gigahertz (GHz). It made its debut as AMD's high-end processor brand on June 23, 1999. Over the years AMD has used the Athlon name with the 64-bit Athlon 64 architecture, the Athlon II, and Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) chips targeting the Socket AM1 desktop SoC architecture, and Socket AM4 Zen (microarchitecture). The modern Zen-based Athlon with a Radeon Graphics processor was introduced in 2019 as AMD's highest-performance entry-level processor.

Athlon comes from the Ancient Greek ἆθλον (athlon), meaning "(sport) contest", or "prize of a contest", or "place of a contest; arena". With the Athlon name originally used for AMD's high-end processors, AMD currently uses Athlon for budget APUs with integrated graphics. AMD positions the Athlon against its rival, the Intel Pentium.

IdeaPad (stylized as IDEAPΛD and formerly ideapad) is a line of consumer-oriented laptop computers designed, developed and marketed by Lenovo. The IdeaPad mainly competes against computers such as Acer's Aspire, Dell's Inspiron and XPS, HP's Pavilion, Envy, Stream, and Spectre, Samsung's Sens and Toshiba's Satellite.

A laptop computer or notebook computer, also known as a laptop or notebook, is a small, portable personal computer (PC). Laptops typically have a clamshell form factor with a flat-panel screen on the inside of the upper lid and an alphanumeric keyboard and pointing device on the inside of the lower lid. Most of the computer's internal hardware is fitted inside the lower lid enclosure under the keyboard, although many modern laptops have a built-in webcam at the top of the screen, and some even feature a touchscreen display. In most cases, unlike tablet computers which run on mobile operating systems, laptops tend to run on desktop operating systems, which were originally developed for desktop computers.

Laptops can run on both AC power and rechargable battery packs and can be folded shut for convenient storage and transportation, making them suitable for mobile use. Laptops are used in a variety of settings, such as at work (especially on business trips), in education, for playing games, web browsing, for personal multimedia, and for general home computer use.

The word laptop, modeled after the term desktop (as in desktop computer), refers to the fact that the computer can be practically placed on the user's lap; while the word notebook refers to most laptops sharing a form factor with paper notebooks. As of 2024, in American English, the terms laptop and notebook are used interchangeably; in other dialects of English, one or the other may be preferred. The term notebook originally referred to a type of portable computer that was smaller and lighter than mainstream laptops of the time, but has since come to mean the same thing and no longer refers to any specific size.

Laptops combine many of the input/output components and capabilities of a desktop computer into a single unit, including a display screen (usually 11–17 in or 280–430 mm in diagonal size), small speakers, a keyboard, and a pointing device (namely compact ones such as touchpads or pointing sticks). Most modern laptops include a built-in webcam and microphone, and many also have touchscreens. Hardware specifications may vary significantly between different types, models, and price points.

Design elements, form factors, and construction can also vary significantly between models depending on the intended use. Examples of specialized models of laptops include 2-in-1 laptops, with keyboards that either be detached or pivoted out of view from the display (often marketed having a "laptop mode"); rugged laptops, for use in construction or military applications; and low-production-cost laptops such as those from the One Laptop per Child (OLPC) organization, which incorporate features like solar charging and semi-flexible components not found on most laptop computers. Portable computers, which later developed into modern laptops, were originally considered to be a small niche market, mostly for specialized field applications, such as in the military, for accountants, or traveling sales representatives. As portable computers evolved into modern laptops, they became widely used for a variety of purposes.

A voucher is a bond of the redeemable transaction type which is worth a certain monetary value and which may be spent only for specific reasons or on specific goods. Examples include housing, travel, and food vouchers. The term voucher is also a synonym for receipt and is often used to refer to receipts used as evidence of, for example, the declaration that a service has been performed or that an expenditure has been made. Voucher is a tourist guide for using services with a guarantee of payment by the agency.

The term is also commonly used for school vouchers, which are somewhat different.

I received my new laptop on yesterday June 21 and was so excited as I open the box. That sleek design and so light weight. Oh did I forget to say that it’s super fast? It is! I am one satisfied lady!

This is a great computer. I’m very pleased with it. And it was definitely in my price range. I had a couple of questions and everyone was so helpful. I really appreciated the kindness and the professionalism.

I have very basic needs for a laptop – I shop, send and receive emails, use Facebook, pay bills online. I have limited space for a computer and can’t have anything too heavy or bulky, although I never take it out of the house. I take very good care of my computers – my last laptop (also a Lenovo) lasted about 8 years and is actually still working. I am well pleased with this laptop which I’ve been using about 3 months now. It was very easy to set up and begin using. I got very used to Windows 7 but Windows 10 is quite easy to use. The camera isn’t the best but as I only use it for Zoom meetings, it’s perfectly fine (I say this because almost everyone else in the meetings looks better- better clarity, color, in their picture) but it’s much better than I had before. I bought my very first laptop, many years ago, from QVC because I needed it at a time I couldn’t afford to buy one so the Easy-Pay is a huge benefit. I bought the “taupe” color which is pretty and a nice change from black. BTW, the voucher is useless to me but maybe someone else will fine it useful. PS: My last laptop had a built-in CD/DVD player which I sorely miss – it’s one reason I waited so long to buy another laptop; they don’t make them like that any more which is too bad because I don’t have the room for a separate one. But I bought an inexpensive DVD player to attach and though the Windows player wouldn’t work, I was able to download one that does, for free. Works fine.

This is a very sharp looking, slim laptop. It was surprisingly easy to set up and start using. I’m not tech-savvy. It is nice and fast. I really like it.

It feels very light weight ,and cheep with the plastic type case .It came with obvious finger prints on it. Not sure why? It does it job for the moment . I am going to continue to try it out though. Having just received it, and I am use to HP. Would have preferred backlight keys .So not sure if this will work out completely. Do to the nature of the type of work I must use it for. Don’t like the bulky charger. Could have been made much slimmer .and efficient. Again I will have to take this all into account .Do to taking this with me in my highly padded computer messenger bag, and it’s space now needed for this type charger when plugging it into outlets. I will up date as I use or should send back.
