When it comes to quality and color, no one does cashmere quite like we do. Our best-selling and crazy-soft sweaters are the result of over 30 years of expertise, obsessing over fit, durability and handfeel. The result? They’re soft and warm, while still being lightweight, which means they’re the perfect layer to wear on crisp autumn days, under a jacket in colder months…even with a tee on chilly summer nights. To honor the future of this fiber, we’re proud to join the Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA), an international nonprofit working to create a more sustainable cashmere supply chain. As the first U.S. member, we’re supporting its efforts to ensure animal welfare, advocate for herding communities, restore grasslands and reduce cashmere’s environmental footprint. Cashmere often refers to:

  • Cashmere wool from the Cashmere goat
  • Cashmere goat

Cashmere may also refer to:

A crew is a body or a group of people who work at a common activity, generally in a structured or hierarchical organization. A location in which a crew works is called a crewyard or a workyard. The word has nautical resonances: the tasks involved in operating a ship, particularly a sailing ship, providing numerous specialities within a ship's crew, often organised with a chain of command. Traditional nautical usage strongly distinguishes officers from crew, though the two groups combined form the ship's company. Members of a crew are often referred to by the title crewman or crew-member.

Crew also refers to the sport of rowing, where teams row competitively in racing shells.

J, or j, is the tenth letter of the Latin alphabet, used in the modern English alphabet, the alphabets of other western European languages and others worldwide. Its usual name in English is jay (pronounced ), with a now-uncommon variant jy .

When used in the International Phonetic Alphabet for the voiced palatal approximant (the sound of "y" in "yes") it may be called yod or jod (pronounced or ).

A sweater (North American English) or pullover, also called a jersey or jumper (British English and Australian English), is a piece of clothing, typically with long sleeves, made of knitted or crocheted material that covers the upper part of the body. When sleeveless, the garment is often called a slipover, tank top, or sweater vest.

Sweaters are worn by adults and children, often over a shirt, blouse, T-shirt, or another top, but sometimes next to the skin. Sweaters were traditionally made from wool but can now be made of cotton, synthetic fibers, or any combination of these. There are also seasonal sweaters, which around Christmas are often called "ugly sweaters".

I’m a fan of J. Crew’s cashmere sweaters and this one is no exception. It is fairly lightweight as cashmere goes and the Donegal style looks good dressed up or down. Found it on sale which was an added bonus!

Super-comfortable, great fit, this has quickly become my favorite sweater.

I bought this sweater on sale and was not expecting it to match the quality of a more expensive cashmere sweater. There’s a lot of potential variation in the quality of cashmere fibers (length and diameter of the main fibers affect itchiness, as does the presence of guard hairs, and the hair length also affects pilling) and knitted pieces (tightness of the knit determines how well a sweater holds its shape). This isn’t the finest cashmere sweater in the world. Though it feels soft to my hand, it still feels a bit itchy on my arms when I wear it with just a t-shirt. But for the price that I paid, I’m still reasonably happy with it.
