Cosmetics are composed of mixtures of chemical compounds derived from either natural sources or synthetically created ones. Cosmetics have various purposes, including personal and skin care. They can also be used to conceal blemishes and enhance natural features (such as the eyebrows and eyelashes). Makeup can also add colour to a person's face, enhance a person's features or change the appearance of the face entirely to resemble a different person, creature, or object.
People have used cosmetics for thousands of years for skin care and appearance enhancement. Visible cosmetics for women and men have gone in and out of fashion over the centuries.
Some early forms of cosmetics used harmful ingredients such as lead that caused serious health problems and sometimes resulted in death. Modern commercial cosmetics are generally tested for safety but may contain controversial ingredients, such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), formaldehyde releasers, and ingredients that cause allergic reactions.
The European Union and regulatory agencies around the world have stringent regulations for cosmetics. In the United States, cosmetic products and ingredients do not require FDA approval. Some countries have banned using animals for cosmetic testing.
Curling is a sport in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice toward a target area that is segmented into four concentric circles. It is related to bowls, boules, and shuffleboard. Two teams, each with four players, take turns sliding heavy, polished granite stones, also called rocks, across the ice curling sheet toward the house, a circular target marked on the ice. Each team has eight stones, with each player throwing two. The purpose is to accumulate the highest score for a game; points are scored for the stones resting closest to the centre of the house at the conclusion of each end, which is completed when both teams have thrown all of their stones once. A game usually consists of eight or ten ends.
Players induce a curved path, described as curl, by causing the stone to slowly rotate as it slides. The path of the rock may be further influenced by two sweepers with brooms or brushes, who accompany it as it slides down the sheet and sweep the ice in front of the stone. "Sweeping a rock" decreases the friction, which makes the stone travel a straighter path (with less curl) and a longer distance. A great deal of strategy and teamwork go into choosing the ideal path and placement of a stone for each situation, and the skills of the curlers determine the degree to which the stone will achieve the desired result.

Mascara is a cosmetic commonly used to enhance the upper and lower eyelashes. It is used to darken, thicken, lengthen, and/or define the eyelashes. Normally in one of three forms—liquid, powder, or cream—the modern mascara product has various formulas; however, most contain the same basic components of pigments, oils, waxes, and preservatives. The most common form of mascara is a liquid in a tube with an application brush.

This is just amazing. Gives me the lash extension look for significantly cheaper.

This has been my go to mascara for my stubborn lashes for years now. I always get the mini since it normally lasts till the expiration date, and I always love my results.

I’ve used many brands through the years, but none I prefer over this one, regardless of price.

Absolutely love this mascara and highly recommend. Gives a great dramatic look without overdoing it or using to much product.

I LOVE this mascara and have repurchased over and over. It’s my favorite but since I have hooded eyelids it does transfer onto my brow bones at times. Otherwise this one is tough to beat! It holds a curl, layers well and separates wonderfully!

I always come back to this mascara. Gets into the corner lashes, never ever clumps or flakes, decently holds a curl, and gives me the long fluttery lashes I love. I need to stop cheating and just stay faithful.

I had the Essence waterproof mascara…Idk what the hype was behind Essence. I became skeptical of all mascaras after trying out a lot. I decided to give Benefit a chance and bought the mini size. Wow! This mascara is a BENEFIT for me. I have short lashes and have been using a lash growing serum. This mascara wears beautifully. There may be a slighly smear or flaking under my eyes but it’s not much. I love this product! It may be pricey for me but it’s worth it.
