A mower is a person or machine that cuts (mows) grass or other plants that grow on the ground. Usually mowing is distinguished from reaping, which uses similar implements, but is the traditional term for harvesting grain crops, e.g. with reapers and combines.
A smaller mower used for lawns and sports grounds (playing fields) is called a lawn mower or grounds mower, which is often self-powered, or may also be small enough to be pushed by the operator. Grounds mowers have reel or rotary cutters. Larger mowers or mower-conditioners are mainly used to cut grass (or other crops) for hay or silage and often place the cut material into rows, which are referred to as windrows. Swathers (or windrowers) are also used to cut grass (and grain crops). Prior to the invention and adoption of mechanized mowers, (and today in places where use a mower is impractical or uneconomical), grass and grain crops were cut by hand using scythes or sickles.
To turn is to rotate, either continuously like a wheel turns on its axle, or in a finite motion changing an object's orientation. Turn may also refer to:

I bought this in 2019. At first I was very impressed with the quality. Just over a year after purchase I had to have the batteries replaced. The service center that did the work was reluctant to repair it, but when they were “coerced” into doing so, they took an unacceptable amount of time to complete the repairs. After they returned it to me, it still never seemed to be “right”. The batteries would not hold a charge as long as they originally did. Well, here we are again. I am having charging issues and they are wanting to send me back to the same service provider. I am not happy. This is an expensive lawn mower and having to be repaired twice in two years is not what I bargained for. We will see how this repair goes, but I am not satisfied at all with the process. I will update the review afterward, but right now unless the Rock Hill, SC area can get a better quality repair shop, I would shy away from buying one of these.

My Ryobi is outstanding! For 25 years I have mowed my hilly property with a large John Deere. Scary. For 25 years I have mowed my hilly property with a good sized John Deere. Rolling over has always been a concern. The Ryobi clings to the hills and happily does any job that I ask it to do. It’s an outstanding machine.

Totally love it. No more fulling and carrying around gas cans. I mow 5 full lots on less than one charge. No ear protection required.

I am still on day 1, but the mower is excellent! Fast, cuts beautiful, and great battery. The Estes delivery service sucks though. The only communications I had with them were wrong and they ended up leaving it outside by the street because they didn’t call like they were supposed to. My neighbor told me it was there!

Seems to be very well built, looking forward to grass cutting this year!

Owned one week.Used in Queensland Australia Give this machine 4 out of 5 1. Does not cut nearly as well as my 20 year old husqvarna, tends to chew the grass rather than cut cleanly. Possibly swing blades rather than straight bar blades may overcome this problem. For this reason alone,I do not believe I will retain it 2.I accept that it is designed primarily for the USA market especially when it comes to complying with safety regulations, but the blades switching off when reversing, then having to go through a procedure each time to cut when reversing of re-activating the blades is a definite pain and a no no. 3. Build quality is very good 4. Seems like a somewhat top heavy sitting position, likened to sitting on top of a car rather than in it. Height adjustable steering may improve this 5. Length of Grass discharge chute excessive and not warranted. 6. Deck wheel axles with grease nipples would be a positive move.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I HATE gasoline engines. Hate is a pretty strong word but its appropriate in this instance. I love everything about this mower. The build quality is surprising, not a flimsy plastic substitution, better built than Toro, Cub, Snapper etc home use machines. Keep in mind this mama jamma is very heavy and all the weight is on the back wheels. If the ground is the slightest bit wet/soft you are instantly sunk and really stuck in the mud and you can’t lift the rear wheels. It’s fast and will mow wide open for over 2 hours = big yard
