A treadmill is a device generally used for walking, running, or climbing while staying in the same place. Treadmills were introduced before the development of powered machines to harness the power of animals or humans to do work, often a type of mill operated by a person or animal treading the steps of a treadwheel to grind grain. In later times, treadmills were used as punishment devices for people sentenced to hard labour in prisons. The terms treadmill and treadwheel were used interchangeably for the power and punishment mechanisms.
More recently, treadmills have instead been used as exercise machines for running or walking in one place. Rather than the user powering a mill, the device provides a moving platform with a wide conveyor belt driven by an electric motor or a flywheel. The belt moves to the rear, requiring the user to walk or run at a speed matching the belt. The rate at which the belt moves is the rate of walking or running. Thus, the speed of running may be controlled and measured. The more expensive, heavy-duty versions are motor-driven (usually by an electric motor). The simpler, lighter, and less expensive versions passively resist the motion, moving only when walkers push the belt with their feet. The latter are known as manual treadmills.
Treadmills continue to be the biggest-selling exercise equipment category by a large margin. As a result, the treadmill industry has hundreds of manufacturers throughout the world.

Waited a while for delivery but its a fantastic bit of kit, I’m a heavy guy but it feels sturdy underfoot even running at higher speeds. Assembly was tricky and one of the screw holes wasn’t threaded very well but we got it to work

A nifty little addition to any home, this is a great mid-range treadmill with just enough functionality for running enthusiasts. It would be great to have more than one profile, but short of that, there’s not much to complain about. It’s much more compact when folded than we expected, so delighted with that. Definitely worth the investment if you’re considering buying one and don’t want to splash out a fortune.

I’d recommend this treadmill to anybody in need of a decent treadmill that has good speed and lots of training options to choose between on the screen. One of the biggest positives for me was the ease of building. You can follow instructions or there is a really simple step by step on YouTube! It only really comes in two major pieces that are easy to connect. I’m happy with this treadmill and glad I waited the extra time for it to come into stock rather than purchasing an alternative.

I chose this model mostly due to its “android tablet” function. Keeps me motivated using youtube, or live scenery on a run. It has enough power to do a good sprint and doesn’t struggle. Base is wide for my strides at 5″7. As a mid-range model, price and functions fits the bill. However lacks bluetooth, aux out and speakers could do better. Despite those, I am totally happy and would highly recommend if you want a bit more fun and features than a regular treadmill.

Love this running machine! Love you can watch tv and listen to Spotify whilst working out! Only downside is you can’t add the rebook app to this treadmill so I can’t track my exercise.

Really good treadmill, easy to use and great features. It does need to people to set up as it is quite heavy but a really good buy.

Great treadmill had another rebook but this one is everything you’ll ever need weather your a beginner or a long time runner, the built in screen really helps you can run anywhere in the world and never leave your home easy to setup and great value for money as good as any gym treadmill I’ve ever been on .
