Ash or ashes are the solid remnants of fires. Specifically, ash refers to all non-aqueous, non-gaseous residues that remain after something burns. In analytical chemistry, to analyse the mineral and metal content of chemical samples, ash is the non-gaseous, non-liquid residue after complete combustion.
Ashes as the end product of incomplete combustion are mostly mineral, but usually still contain an amount of combustible organic or other oxidizable residues. The best-known type of ash is wood ash, as a product of wood combustion in campfires, fireplaces, etc. The darker the wood ashes, the higher the content of remaining charcoal from incomplete combustion. The ashes are of different types. Some ashes contain natural compounds that make soil fertile. Others have chemical compounds that can be toxic but may break up in soil from chemical changes and microorganism activity.
Like soap, ash is also a disinfecting agent (alkaline). The World Health Organization recommends ash or sand as alternative for handwashing when soap is not available.

This vanity is beautiful! It is crafted from quality materials and it is stunning in a room. It came very well packed, with easy to follow assembly instructions; I put it together in well under half an hour. My only nit-picky thoughts are that the drawers clunk loudly when closed, but I will add some felt and that should dampen the noise.

This vanity is beautifully designed and high quality. But even better than its looks is its functionality – I finally have a place to sit down with all my stuff in reach and it’s made me better about taking care of my skin. Perfect size, enough storage so I don’t have to use a travel bag in my own home for makeup, and really upgrades my whole routine.
I also use it as a work desk, so the value of this piece is double – I’ve always wanted a vanity but my makeup/skincare routine was minimal so it was always a wishful item, but now that I have this one, it’s a must-have!

Just received ALL of the parts of the vanity today… and for anyone who just made a purchase, the vanity will come in two shipments and separate packaging! One box will contain solely the desk & the second box will have the legs and mirror. I found this quite confusing at first when I received only one box of the desk… then the next day received another package of the legs and mirror. Overall, the desk was super easy to build, took me about or less than 15 mins! It definitely resembles the picture from Dims and so far I really love it.

The Composed Vanity is perfect for our small guest room. It elegantly doubles as a vanity or desk, depending on the need or day. I love working from here (so thankful to have an at-home setup during quarantine) and also use it to put on makeup when my husband is in the bathroom. It’s a perfect blend of function and beauty. The natural color works great with any design style and the drawers hold more than I expected! Highly recommend this special piece.

Let’s start with my overall impression – this vanity is easy to build, small enough for almost any living space, and multifunctional. It’s serving as my desk right now but when WFH ends (if it ever does) I’m adding the mirror and changing up the space. Using it as a desk, I only wish the lower drawers were on the other side; it would make it easier to fit a keyboard and a mouse. However, the construction of this desk is perfect and exactly what I needed.
The color – I prefer the neutral colors and wish this one was a little less yellow, but that does not detract from the overall look of the vanity.
The drawers get a little stuck, but the wax they included helps a lot. I wish there was a cover on the cord slot, but that’s a very minor qualm. The cord slot does help organize the vanity A LOT.
If you have a small space and need a multi-functional desk, this is the piece for you.
